Loch Leven Heritage trail

We have recently built a path linking us to the Loch Leven heritage trail, a circular walk of approx 13 miles around the beautiful Loch Leven. This path is suitable for walkers of all abilities, cyclists, runners, and wheelchair and motorised scooter users.

You can park in our car-park and access the trail following a short path. Remember you can get takeaway food and drinks from the café to enjoy during your walk!

This is an area to explore! Whether you have a bike, a dog or you simply love rambling, there are beautiful views to take in and places to explore.

The Portmoak Moss (a beautiful piece of woodland combined with one of the last surviving raised bogs in Scotland) or the Michael Bruce Way are just down the road from us.

Scotlandwell itself is home to an ancient holy well of fresh spring water. Robert the Bruce was even reported to be one of the patrons!

Children and families

We are child friendly and have high chairs available.

Dogs

We love dogs and we have water bowls ready. Please ask if you can’t see one. Well behaved dogs are allowed in our conservatory area of the café.

Watching the world go by

On a warm sunny day there’s nothing better than sitting outside at one of our picnic tables and watching the gliders from the Scottish Gliding Centre soar above the ridge and hearing the hum of the ‘tow’ aircraft.
